No video while watching jc-tv on the net :(

Postby euph312 » Sun Sep 14, 2008 7:04 pm

For the past 3 or so weeks, while attempting to watch jc-tv on the 'net, I don't have any video regardless which web browser I'm using. There's audio and that's about it. I have Windows Media Player 2005 and use Windows Media Player 11.

Is anybody else experiencing the same problems? I think its something to do with jc-tv as I can watch other websites that have livestreaming going on without any problems?

I just kinda figured it out. Just for fun using firefox, I turned off the adblock plus extension. After restarting and going back to jc-tv, I can watch jc-tv once more.

Figured out the problem as of 9:30pm cdt:

When doing a virus scan tonight, somehow and where within the last couple of weks, I must of picked up the dreaded zlob trojan. After doing some research, I got rid of the trojan and all is good :)

hmmm... Do you have the latest flash player?

The other thing I can think of with firefox is the adblock extension could be acting funny. Try diasabling the adblock extension (or any add on filters you have for it) then try watching jc-tv. If that works, remove the adblock extension altogether with any the add on filters. Close firefox, clear your cache etc. with ccleaner, go back and install the adblock plus extension.

It never hurts doing a virus scan once a week too.

Click on tools, find add ons and click it, go to extensions and click it. Click on disable. It will probally tell you to restart firefox for the changes to take place.

If you can watch jc-tv or any other livestreaming, you may have a false positive in your adblock filters.

On mine, in the adblock extension, there should be 3 things to click on. There's options, disable and uninstall. Click on disable.

Just curious, what version of firefox are using? It shouldn't affect things too much unless you're still using firefox 2.
